Testing and timing the Delphi DP210 and DP310 injection pumps requires Delphi Hartridge test equipment. The drive shaft has a keyway, but they do not use a key, the pump is locked in time on the test stand. Oregon Fuel Injection, is factory authorized by Delphi, and we use the Hartridge AVMPC-2 test stand. The video slideshow below shows the adjustment steps performed during testing. At the end of the slideshow it notes the final step of how the timing is calculated, and the pump then is locked in time.
Delphi DP210 and DP310 injection pumps are original equipment on select engines from Caterpillar, Perkins, Cummins, JCB, Iveco, Fiat, Case New Holland, Deutz and Lister Petter. We are factory authorized to repair, rebuild, test and set lock timing on DP210 & DP310 injection pumps. If you need the timing set or repairs performed on your injection pump, contact us and let us help you get back to work.
I just need to know how to set the 0 timing on Mod Y02, type:1398 DES:9320A215G
HJi Jerry,
Pump to engine timing information is here https://oregonfuelinjection.com/content/uploads/2016/08/dp210-pump-cat-3054C-perkins-removal-install.pdf
In order to lock the pump in time to install it, the pump must be installed on the test stand, tested and dynamically timed then locked. There is no way to lock the pump in time other than using the proper test equipment.
Thanks, Mark
