BD Performance Valve Body 47RH

The BD Performance Valve Body is an economical way to improve the performance and life of your stock or rebuilt transmission. It is a complete upgrade of the stock valve body that includes updated valve designs, high capacity springs, revised oil circuits as well as optimized governor piston dimensions. The improved oil flow reduces temperatures and also allows for quicker torque converter clutch application.

The latest valve body achieves up to 80% higher clutch apply pressures over the stock unit and up to 50% over others. The pressure increase starts at much lower engine RPM and at lighter throttle pedal position movement. Light throttle shift firmness is also maintained at the higher apply pressures.

This new building process also eliminates the often referred to “Shuttle Shifting” or hunting-for-gears in the 47RH transmissions.

BD also added second gear lock-up capability. The addition of one of the TorqLoc or TowLoc kits increases engine retarding capability for towing applications.

The valve body is tested to ensure proper function before shipping.
