ARP fasteners are a must have for any high performance diesel engine. Added timing, boost, and fuel delivery from aftermarket tuning and hardware will greatly increase cylinder pressure. If the clamp load is not also increased on your cylinder head, the gasket may fail. ARP head studs are the most cost effective means of keeping your engine running and preventing head gasket failures.

Custom Age 625+ studs are the best choice for Cummins engines running 600+ horsepower, 70+ PSI of boost, as well as Nitrous.

2007.5+ 6.7 L Cummins engines also benefit from the added clamp load because they are much more likely to have head gasket failures. The larger bore diameter and increased cylinder pressures tend to cause failures even with moderate horsepower increases.
