ARP fasteners are a must have for any high performance diesel engine. Added timing, boost, and fuel delivery from aftermarket tuning and hardware will greatly increase cylinder pressure. If the clamp load is not also increased on your cylinder head, the gasket may fail. ARP head studs are the most cost effective means of keeping your engine running and preventing head gasket failures.

ARP2000 studs are the best choice for Cummins engines running less than 600 horsepower, up to 60 PSI of boost, with out Nitrous.

ARP2000^®: ARP2000 is an alloy steel that can be safely heat treated to a higher level, producing a greater strength material than 8740. While 8740 and ARP2000 share similar characteristics – ARP2000 is capable of achieving a clamp load at 220,000 psi. Stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement are typically not a problem, providing care is taken during installation.
