Duramax diesel engines do not come with a factory lift pump. This is why Duramax owners see such great performance and economy gains after installing an aftermarket diesel fuel lift pump. The factory CP3 injection pump pulls fuel under a vacuum it can introduce air and vapor into your fuel. This can lead to injector failure as well.

The D-Max Flow Enhancer has been designed to provide your Duramax engine with a constant 8 PSI fuel pressure. It will aid the injection system by reduce the amount of work your factory CP3 pump has to perform. As a result, this will help extend its expected life and improve performance gains from aftermarket tuning products.  The D-Max Flow Enhancer is a “pusher” pump, so all fuel is placed under pressure, helping prevent the introduction of air as well as vapor.

The D-Max is well-designed for stock trucks or budget minded shoppers, however its suggested that Duramax diesel owners install one of our Titanium Series pumps if you have fueling upgrades. The Titanium Series also offers improved filtration as well as air removal.

Note: FASS claims the pump delivers 70 GPH at 8-10 PSI. It has been our experience that the pressure will be around 5-6 psi at idle and may drop to 2.5 psi or even into a vacuum under full load.
