The one piece air box design features an integrated box seal that keeps out unwanted engine heat. The cooler the air, the greater the density, resulting in better performance. Premium silicone seals won’t tear or crack and can handle temperatures as high as 400℉.

Do you want a dry disposable filter?  This question really comes down to the driving environment. The dry filters are better suited for dry/dusty areas. The oiled filters flow slightly better, but the oil can skew the mass air flow sensor.  We recommend dry filters for any vehicle equipped with a MAF sensor. Since you are not sacrificing performance with either choice, the decision comes down to where you drive and how you want to service the filter.
